Ingredients for making coconut water ice:

1 liter of natural coconut water

250 milliliters of filtered water (optional)

 ice molds

How to make coconut water ice:

It is really easy to make coconut water ice, however, before starting, it is important to choose a good coconut water, as natural as possible, that is, containing only coconut water (no additives such as sugar, fructose, sucrose, preservatives, antioxidants, etc).

Tip: If you prefer, you can even use coconut water, but the yield will be lower.

If you are using 100% natural coconut water, ie concentrated coconut water, you can dilute it with a little water. In this case, in 1 liter of coconut water, you can add 250 ml of filtered water (approximately 1 cup of water). The coconut water flavor will be smoother, but you will be able to make more coconut ice.

Put your coconut water in ice cups, until the spaces fill almost to the top (this is because, as it freezes, the coconut water increases its volume in the cups).

In this case, it's worth working out and using cute little ice cups that are different from the usual ice cube cups. On the market you can find ice shapes in the shape of balls, hearts, stars, hexagons, etc.

Tip: If you are preparing coconut ice to sell it is worth investing in these different molds as they will be reused almost infinitely!

You can use plastic or silicone molds, it depends on your preference, but remember that silicone molds can leave a aftertaste. It's also better to use ice cups with a lid as sometimes the other foods we store in the freezer can end up "accidentally flavoring" our coconut ice (this is especially true with frozen fish).

Freeze your homemade coconut ice for 12-24 hours and it will be ready to use in different drinks, cocktails, juices and smoothies! In order not to compromise the flavor and combine more easily, we recommend using coconut ice in drinks with few ingredients, such as these drink recipes:

strawberry caipirinha with lemon

Swiss lemonade with condensed milk

orange juice with ginger
